While the sailors drink tonight
Gabriella bends her knees
As she travels from Spain
To the harbors of Greece
She's just returning to Athens

Seamen with pickled souls

She could guess why they'd go party all night
They had survived a mighty freak hull battering storm
She understood they drank to celebrate life
So while they were getting blitzed she held her cruciform

Gabriella never sleeps
In her cabin she pouts
She just whimpers and weeps
God knows He called her for somethin
Something more refined
Something that wasn't obscene
Christ would rise in her mind

When the sailors made a riot

She'd endure without a gripe on her lip
God knows she's truly is a godly woman
Baptized by the fire, she trusts God to show her His all encompassing plan
