The Lyrics

Some say that I'm stupid
I'm wise in my mind
I'm amped and revolted, yow!
I'm charged for I'm grounded
It's pain, cause I'm not too bright
I'm crossed but I'm like a baby

What I'll know when I come to
There's better ways to check a bulb's light, light, light
I put my hand in that socket
And then I found I was in for a big shock

I feel zapped since October
I'm stung and I'm over charged
I'm fried and still jerking, yeah
My arms are now hairless
I sear, and I'm woebegone
Was wrong and I'm one burnt baby

What I knew when I came to
I that I sure now seem to be not quite right
I had one hand in that socket
And then I felt just like a giant coal briquette

And I finally came to
I found I still had not fixed that dumb lamp just yet
I had one hand in that socket
And the other one was giving the choke sign!

I'm done and I'm browner
I'm not recognised
My skin is a peelin', baby
I'm glad I'm still breathin'
I wave and the streetlight glows
My head is still reelin' baby

And when I finally came to
I found that my doctor bills were putting me in debt

I had one hand in that socket
And the other was grabbing for the wallplug

And when I finally came to, my friends
There's better ways to check a bulb's light, light, light
I had one hand in that socket
And the other one was flailing at randomness..

DKTOS, but I like what you've done with it, especially "amped and revolted." A companion piece to my "I Shocked the Sheriff."

Really funny, 555's

Charged with humor. A little oblique, but 555.

555, a funny parody.
Ravyn Rant - January 18, 2006 - Report this comment
The echo of the original rhyme scheme in the second verse is extremely well-done (pun unintended). "Fried and still jerking" and "I sear and I'm woebegone"...hee! 555
