Parody Song Title:

"Skeletons Are Rockin'"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

The cemetery lot
The dead can rock, they're on their feet
They crack their bones a lot
Shake their heads and walk with bony feet

Best not say they're boning
but Skeletons love to rock too
Cemetery moaning
Won't let up 'til the night's through

They tore their coffins up
and woke up all the newly dead
Cannot blow them up
When they are back together-you'll dread

Skeletons are clubbing
Throw a bone, they'll fetch it too
Joints are never rubbing
Bonaparte is in this groove

(Skeltons rocking out in interlude)

ba ba ba ba ba bad to the bone

You'd best not wake them up
and if you do you'd best dance good
Salsa is not their cup
'Cause Thriller is now in their hood

Not the Macarena
Cha Cha slide will never do
Shake your money maka
Don't stop til the sky is blue

The famous conductor Sir Thomas Beecham once described the tone of a harpsichord as "two skeletons fornicating on a tin roof". Lots of great punny lines here. You've tickled my funny bones. ;D

Skeleton party at the graveyard? Sounds kind of like a dead party...

Bonaparte = bone(s) apart = Ha-ha! :-)

Loved this for two reasons. One, it's damn good. Two, the only full album parody series I've ever considered was to zombiefy the whole Eliminator album, had two or three of the later songs done already but couldn't come up with a working angle for this the opening track, I wasn't clever enough to use a three syllable word like skeletons for a 3+1+1 solution and got stuck looking for a 2+1+1+1. Your take makes it seem so obvious now!

Very humerus. Rib tickling, even. So Thriller has replaced Dem Bones at the top of the Graveyard 100? :-)

Pacing slipped on its tailbone with line 6, but overall this was a lot of fun...in tandem with Weid Al's "Pary At The Leper Colony" for some rason in my mind. I kicked myself for not getting "Bonaparte" at first...the ridiculous use of it mid-song is worth 455.

(Artistry) Ah, but do the rockin' skeletons have fuzzy guitars and massive beards? Cuz that would be hilarious. 555 for you, sir!
