Like John Carter, archeologist Adam Strange was teleported from Earth (by Zeta Beam) to the foreign planet Rann to help defend them against cosmic villains and aliens time and again. While there he makes friends with scientist Sardath and falls in love with his blue-haired daughter Alanna that periodically fights alongside him. He uses superior technology and can see through the entire EM spectrum. He is, however, limited in his stay times on Rann due to effects of the Zeta Beam wearing off and sending him right back to earth. However, the machine built by Sardath has a timetable which Sardath has given Strange. He briefly joins in with the Justice League but is never a true member, although they come to his aid when he needs them. He wears a red and white suit with cosmic flight pack and uses lots of energy weapons. His helmet is reminiscent of the Rocketeer...
