The Lyrics

Been watching a dvd of 20 Timeless "Leave It to Beaver" episodes. I just watched one where Ward and June warn the Beaver to not go out in his blue suit and not to play where a house is under construction in the neighborhood. But not only does Beaver go out in his blue suit but goes with Larry to that house. They try a make-shift see-saw and Beaver gets stuck, so Eddie comes along and sends Beaver to the ground, ripping his pants. The Beaver is nervous so he makes up a lie about a dog (alluding to Eddie's dog Wolf) ripping his pants but is reprimanded for lying. The next day after church, the Beaver in new pants tells Wally about remarks Eddie said the day before and they both return back to the house for a fight. Beaver is again knocked down but this time Eddie's dog "Wolf" DOES rip his pants. Returning home and telling the truth this time- Ward and June don't believe him... until Larry's mother re-tells the story and everything gets sorted out.
Tore his pants again
After Ward and June warned him again
Beaver hangin’ around house under construction
And trouble follows Eddie who’s not a friend

Tore his pants again
Just after his blue suit was ruined
Remarks Eddie said had Wally seein’ red
And trouble follows Eddie who’s not a friend

Tore his pants again
Ward and June warned him that there’d be hell to pay
Then dog “Wolf” bit him
Told the truth, they didn’t believe what he did say
Larry saves the day, ‘bout what happened

After Ward and June warned him again
Beaver hangin’ around house under construction
And trouble follows Eddie who’s not a friend

Rob, don't you think you were a little hard on the Beaver?

Gee Porfle, I notice on the very first series that Hugh Beaumont narrated and that Ward seemed to get very angry at the boys, more so than latter series. Eddie caused him to rip his pants twice! I apologize to the person that gave me a 433 b/c I was drugged up last night and had a hard time concentrating on this one. It could have been written better. Maybe I'll try harder if I write about Wally and his pug-nose ;-D

The title in itself offered some inspiration for a future piece. Good work, Rob!
