I have a friend who was injured in the filming of Rambo III. Explosion knocked him off his horse, and another horse stepped on him. You never hear about the injuries to extras in these action films. Of the KC men who took part in Kevin Costner's "The Postman", most lost their horses to water-borne illness after returning home. The Holnist base was in the bottom of a giant open-pit mine. The horses couldn't be stopped from drinking rain water leached through the toxic metals in the ground.
