The Lyrics

During the 1960s, the Chinese sold or gave the N. Vietnamese large stocks of the Type 50 SMG which in turn was a copy of the WW2 Russian PPSh-41 SMG. The Vietcong took the stocks and modified them into shorter local versions which shortened the barrel jacket, added a new front sight, removed the wood stock and substituted a telescopic steel wire retracting type and which took curved 35 rd box mags. It could take the 71 drum mag, but only if the stock was fully retracted. Selector switch was in front of the trigger and safety attached to the rear bolt. 700 rpm and perfect for ambushes in engagements of 50 yards or less!!! An effective weapon, it plagued US troops that faced it.
The K-50M
Was a Vietcong odd submachine gun
Copy-of-a-copy with local machine shop mends
Engaged Yankee troops time-and-time again

The K-50M
Short jacket, new front sight installation
New grip, telescopic stock of wire retractin’
Engaged Yankee troops time-and-time again

The K-50M
Stockpiles sent from China in ’60s went a long way
Supply met demands
High rate of fire in ambushes made US pay
Point and spray, good for attrition…

Was a Vietcong odd submachine gun
Copy-of-a-copy with local machine shop mends
Engaged Yankee troops time-and-time again

This thing reminds me of a rather crude VC version of a cross between the German Mp-40 and Ppsh-41. That's why you chose it, right?

I think I saw one of these in Truby's "Improvised Firearms". Every gun-grabbing delusionist politico needs to read a copy of that book.
