The Lyrics

Joy Williams is another gospel artist I like; in fact, she is my favourite soloist who recorded entirely in 2000 or later. Here's an 80s type song that sounds somewhat like my tribute to Twila Paris (Dare to Be Twila).
Stanza I.
How come you're always seeking out the best tunes?
These songs you've heard on radios will vanish soon!
But I know of one artist who can never be a goon,
So Joy it! just Joy it!
I won't remind you 'bout this ever again,
I won't e'er hear about which artists are insane,
Joy Williams is cool for a song in the rain,
So Joy it! don't you tell me she's dumb!

Refrain I.
Just Joy it! Joy it! Joy it! Joy it!
Got her record? Don't destroy it!
Hear her songs like "Surrender" and "Hide!"
She shows the genre's not all Southern-fried!
Just Joy it! Joy it! (4x) ooh...

Stanza II.
Your musical tastes will send you to hell!
You're listening to rap, you'll never do so well
With AC/DC's songs! Sick and tired of "Oh well"?
Just Joy it! just Joy it!
You'd better listen to Joy Williams' songs!
You'll never make much use of your Tupac for long!
These songs will uplift and tell you right from wrong,
So Joy it! you'll not run out of time!

Refrain II.
Just Joy it! Joy it! Joy it! Joy it!
If she's got a song, employ it!
Hear "Every Moment!" hear "Here with Us!"
Ask to just hear it on the city bus!
Just Joy it! Joy it! Joy it! Joy it!
When you hear her name, Joy it!
Just request "We" now or "By Surprise!"
Then you'll be blessed by God in His own eyes!
Just Joy it! (8x)

(Guitar interlude)

Refrain III.
Joy it! (4x)
If she's out of style, employ it!
Hear "Any More Sure" or "Say Goodbye!"
If you don't have the dough, please don't you cry!

(Repeat first four lines of Refrain I, followed by first four lines of Refrain II)
This might appear on somebody's YouTube tribute to Joy Williams someday...
