The Lyrics

For Wolfgang...
Junk

I fill up…but nothing slows me down.
Can’t get enough…know every buffet in town .
On the Bass…I know C, F and G.
Each day I sto-ooo-op for three lunches at Puck’s eatery

Oh, now my Dad is on the “nod”
While I stick dollars in the vending machine
This is the usual scene
I hope on tour he gets clean

Love to eat junk…Junk !
Mountains of junk
I’m just a punk…Punk!
Who loves to eat junk

Whooah…hey Mom!…Is that you ?
Where’d your other half go?
One Day At...A... Time... you keep on shrinking
But I just still grow

Now uncle Alex’s falling down
While I munch Cheetos in the suite at the show
And Dave shows up with some ho…
Still thinks he’s a gigolo…

So I eat junk…Junk !
Mountains of junk
Doughnuts I dunk…Dunk!
Junk in the trunk

(guitar solo)

(keyboard solo)

(no bass solo)

Uncle is drunk !
Still I love junk!
Moma has shrunk… !
Still I love junk

etc...

I love your rips on the original artist. Van Halen is a band that I don't know much about so you're satire was a bit lost on me, but I still liked it.

lol...a fun little look behind the scenes of the van halen family...maybe they should have their own TV show a la ozzy

Although ~VanHalen~ is more my age, my nephew adores him; I prefer Valerie, as the vanHalen celebrity!

(Artistry) You do have to know a bit about VH to get most of this, 'tis true. But is Wolfgang really that fat as this parody seems to be implying? :) (Haven't seen a photo, so I don't know). Stanza #5, line 1 is a sore thumb pacing-wise, sadly, while the rest of that section is terribly hard to sing to against Dave's vocal.

(Artistry) I had to do extensive research (translation - I read the Wikipedia entry on WWVH) to understand this one, but now it all makes sense. Good work.

(Artistry) Well, this certainly flew straight over my head. Anything involving celebrities' personal lives tends to do that. Still, this was funny, and the pacing was good.

(Art) Pretty funny, lucky for you I am a VH1-holic (or at least I used to be) so I got it.

VH songs are pretty short, eh? This paced pretty well... I'm thinking a video would bring out the full potential of this write. The title is perfect though, and could be used numerous times for different ideas. I'm a bit rusty on my VH knowledge, so some of this went by me.
