(instrumental opening)

She's a good girl.
By pool, playing.
Got friends there.
Her feminine crew.
It's her birthday.
Sixteen's the number.
But she looks sad.
Yeah, her boyfriend, too.

It's her par-tay.
She'll cry if she wants to.
Her boy's not there.
She's taking it hard.
And he's a bad boy.
Or maybe he isn't:
There's a sky-write:
A heart above her yard.

And here we...
we're mallin'.
On the street...
hot doggin'.

All the vampires
didn't yet have movies
since "Lost Boys"
played on the boulevard.
And all the bad boys
drive cars-of-muscle
and all the good girls
are gettin' them hard.

And I'm es...
calatin'.
Yeah, I'm es...
calatin'.

(instrumental break)

Halfpipin', yeah, they're halfpipin'.

Girl's starin', yeah, the girl's starin'.

I wanna tell those
kids they'll break their necks.
Shouldn't watch those
daredevilin' chavs.
Don't you dare, girl
copy those dimwits.
Or you'll break ev...
ery bone that you have.

And I'm still...
still mallin'.
While the girl's...
halfpipin'.

And I watch...
you drivin'.

While the girl's...
halfpipin'.

(instrumental fade)

Like the reference to old song "It's My Party". Had to look up half-piping. Kansas City has built skateboard facilities in some of its parks. I sure wouldn't want to land on one. What with all the lawyers running around these days, I'm surprised the city did this. I guess it's better than having kids skateboarding on the steps of the courthouse. A skateboarding star just donated the ramps from a show at the downtown auditorium so the city can expand a skateboard park.
