Parody Song Title:

"Mr. Romano"

Parody Written by:

Jeremy Otto

The Lyrics

Domo Arigato, Mr. Romano
Everybody loves you
Domo Arigato, Mr. Romano
What do you want to do?

You're wondering who I am
I don't like to eat spam
I live on Long Island
I am the funny man

I've got a joke that I've been hiding under my tongue
My show is funny, but the other sitcoms are like dung
So if you see me acting goofy, don't be surprised
I'm just a man who needed some spot, on TV to thrive
To keep ratings alive, just keep them alive
Some spot to thrive, to keep them alive

I'm not a yuppie without emotions-I'm not what you see
Who'll come to help me with my problems so I can be free?
I'm not annoying, I'm not unfunny, forget what you know
I'm just a man with overbearing parents beyond my control
They want to control, they voted for Dole
I like to bowl, we all like to bowl

I am the funny man, who hides behind a joke
So no one else can see my true identity

Domo arigato, Mr. Romano, domo...domo
Domo arigato, Mr. Romano, domo...domo
Domo arigato, Mr. Romano, domo...domo
Thank you very much, Mr. Romano
For telling the jokes that nobody wants to
And thank you very much, Mr. Romano
For helping me to laugh just when I needed to
Thank you thank you thank you
I want to thank you, please thank you

The problem's plain to see: too much prime time TV
Sitcoms won't save our lives, Ray's show's past season five

The time has come at last
To throw away this mask
So everyone can see
My true identity
I'm KilRay! KilRay! KilRay! KilRay!

Not bad. The pacing is very good. I thought you stayed a little too close to the original lines in some places (The whole "Thank you very much" stanza, for example), where you might have been able to create something new (a picky comment, I know, but I wanted to write more than "This is good" so the feedback might actually be helpful). But overall, I liked it!
