Parody Song Title:

"When The Term's A Quid Pro Quo"

Parody Written by:

Peter Andersson a.k.a K1chyd

The Lyrics

What day is it today? The day it goes on paper in the US that Gothic Re-electocracy did triumph over Evil Hollywoodocracy. It is also the day when I really hope that I've spelled "quid pro quo" correct and that I'm using it right, or the joke here is on me. ;-)
Let this inauguration start
I'll lose the words, I'm not that smart
I've come to swear the oath once more
I've made a second term encore
I was the one devil they knew
That's democracy for you
And the term is quid pro quo

Unselfishly I'm gonna serve
You're gonna get what you deserve
I aim to please another year
While your taxes disappear
I'll drop the bomb right in your lap
Our deficit has gone up
And this term it's gonna pop

(Weeping guitar solo)

Our poor economy needs dough
What I promised soon must go
So this term's a quid pro quo
Yeah, this term's a quid pro quo
But then Arh-nuld's gonna show'
' Peter Andersson.

I think your use of "quid pro quo" is correct. Unfortunately, it applies to all politicians, even ones that I vote for. I question your use of "gothic," but I thought this was a very good parody. Also, I checked out your web site today, and I like your clever collection of quotes and limericks.

Phil: Thanx! I might just keep practicing on my own in this sub-genre too, the only way is upů

John: Your input and visit is appreciated. I also agree with you that this applies to most politicians. As for "gothic" it was no evil intent or long thought behind the usage of that word, I just needed an adjective to go with re-electocracy or it felt that I should have to cut the adjective pre to hollywoodocracy too, but now that you've made me think about itů hmmů The top floors of 200 year old Palace America is inhabited by pale white men in blacků ;-)
