Great parody of the Robert Palmer classic. Did Fred Phelps hate Swedes and Finns too? What was his beef with them? Does the video for this parody feature a band of sexy leggy women dressed in black? ; )
Yes, he did hate Scandinavians. The main reason was that a Swedish Lutheran girl snatched his eldest son, Fred Jr., off the family cult and into mainstream Christianity,
He hated Finns because he lost a theological debate to one Finn whom I happen to know, and perceived our former President, Mrs. Tarja Halonen, had been the lawyer of SETA (Organization of Sexual Equality, the Finnish GLB organization) so she had to be a Lesbian (she is married and mother of one daughter). Phelps was especially grudgeful person, and could hold personal vendettae for decades. As a result he was declared as a persona non grata in both Finland and UK, whose Archbishop he had also managed to insult.

Ain't it pretty stupid to hate all Finns because of a debate with one of them? Although when I was a kid we were supposed to hate "Japs" because of the WWI attack on Pearl Harbor. That cowardly and despicable act occured even before my father was born, and besides - it was Japan's totalitarian government that gets the blame. In a college course we read a book written by an author who lived during Japan's fascist era. After the regime was toppled the Japanese public found out how they were deceived and misled with all the totalitarian propaganda, censorship and outright lies. I don't hate Japanese people at all. I don't hate Serbs after all the crazy violent crap that erupted because of one lying loudmouth instigator and douschbag named Milosevic (the son-of-a-b****). I don't hate Arabs. I don't hate the Islamic religion. I hope and pray that people around the world don't hate us Americans because of the disgraceful deeds our corrupt regime did in our name during the 00s decade. I am heterosexual but I don't hate "fags" at all. God don't hate GLB people, they're His children too. God don't make junk : )
