The Lyrics

We are cows, Jerseys and Holsteins, we moo
Grazing the grass, lots of poo
Love in a cattle field
There are bulls, they are so big and so strong
Hoping that they will respond
All of us having, love in a cattle field

You're sittin’ on that stool, you're milkin’ me dry
Why do you hurt my udders, it’s just making me cry
Do I make you shake, or are you making me into steak
Believe me, believe me, I don’t give a darn
But I'm trapped by the fence, and I'm kept in the barn

We are cows, Jerseys and Holsteins, we moo
Grazing the grass, lots of poo
Love in a cattle field
There are bulls, they are so big and so strong
Hoping that they will respond
All of us having, love in a cattle field

We're losing the herd
Will you just chew your cud or mount me from behind
And when I get too old, I’m put out to pasture
Just take care of our calves
I’m more than just a heifer, a special bovine
And if you just look and see, I’m not a mad cow

We are cows, Jerseys and Holsteins, we moo
Grazing the grass, lots of poo
Love in a cattle field
There are bulls, they are so big and so strong
Hoping that they will respond
All of us having, love in a cattle field

Why am I the first voter? This is HILARIOUS!

I actually tried "Stuck In a Cattlefield" as a parody of the film "City Slickers," but it went nowhere, and ended up turning "Time In a Bottle" into "Time With the Cattle" instead. This is better than I would've done.

These moos are cute . . . .

Nice parody, would have liked to see different Choruses (is that right?) though. But a nice topic for parody.

I'm sure you'll get the usual chorus of comments about varying your choruses...otherwise a very Mooving effort. Love the OS and the idea.

(SOTM) Joining the chorus about choruses. This was pretty good, though.

great stuff Mikey!

Great OS and topic for it, Mikey. Best of luck if you record this: Pat Benatar is hard to emulate. Liked the "put out to pasture" and "I’m not a mad cow" gags.

While this is a generally good parody, I have to agree with the choruses, this is a short song originally, and not changing the choruses doesn't add any humor, where humor could have easilly been added. For that I had to take off points.

(SOTM-Mar08) For some reason I always seem to find bovine parodies amusing and fun. Cowabunga!

Definitely the title sub of the month, and some cute lines - but I'm going to agree with some of the comments above in that you could have done a bit more with the choruses, seeing as they're 60% of the song.

See above!

(SOTM) Put me with the 'changed choruses would've worked better' crowd. That being said, this was cute - and thankfully not what I thought it was gonna be about (my mind thinks disgusting things sometimes).

I loved the title-sub and found your topic very moooooving.

SOTM - Me likey Mikey. It might have been a bit goofier if it were about a couple with a strange fetish for those special mushrooms, but this was funny.

Very funny song, reminds me of those "Happy Cows" commercial, looks like my Amish people could use your farm as a good place to churn their secret laced butter:)

A dJ called Scruff Connors from Toronto recorded a song called love in a cattle field in the 80's.
