The Lyrics

Dear Cher, I really appreciate all those expensive things you bought me. You really shouldn't have. In fact, I wish you would return it all. I just can't see myself living as a kept man. I believe that love can't be bought like you tried to buy my love. I hope understand I can't be with you. We live in two different worlds. I live with the Gypsies, Tramps, and Thieves. You live in a Divine Diva paradise. Am I Right for letting you go this way?
Look at who's shopping with me,
I can't stop pinching myself.
Suddenly I'm down on top of the floor
You should've seen those boutique shelves

Believe it or not,
I'm shopping with Cher
I never thought I would try on these-.
Buying away on a sree without spare.
Who'll pay the fees?
Believe it or not, it's not me (Cher's paying )

She's wants to dress me up her way-,
Picking me out of the blue
Peeling me out of the suit I was in,
Buying all of my wardrobe brand new-.

Believe it or not,
I'm shopping with Cher.
I never thought I'd be bought with ease-.
Buying my love with more things than I care.
What could it be?
Believe it or not she wants me.

Nice idea, but the song is titled "Believe It Or Not," and while it was written by Post and Geyer, the singer was Joey Scarbury. It hit Number 2 in '81, but that's the only hit he ever had, believe it or not.

Oh forget Michael's "nice idea" comment...I thought this was FABulous. I'm sitting in a classroom, administering a test right now...and everyone is wondering what I'm giggling about...=) Nice job!
