I let him out at night

threw him off the road

on the next day, it appears
he was uptight no heartbeat, from the dear..
life appeared to fade away

underneath the car
as it was wildly swerving
he didn't get too far
innocent, and not deserving

at least he's all right
in death there's little consternation
nullified his life
