The Lyrics

This is another Marvel parody of a song from the Virgin album. It is also a parody of one of Madonna’s #1 hit singles, “Like a Virgin.” Nope, I am not plagiarizing Weird Al’s “Like a Surgeon.” The following Marvel song parody is about the Silver Surfer saving the planets from Galactus and stuff. The Silver Surfer is not currently in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), but he will be one of those days. I have read a few Silver Surfer comic books. Plus, I’ve played the 1990 Silver Surfer game on the NES, and seen “The Fantastic Four: The Rise of the Silver Surfer” (2007). Anyways, this song parody is a view from the Silver Surfer.
I’m surfin’ through the galaxy
Somehow I’m surfin’ through
With my silver board I’d go
Save a world or two

Got no seat
I can’t eat
I’m cosmic...from my head to feet
But, Galactus won’t
No, Galactus won’t
Have planets to eat

I’m Silver Surfin’
Surfin’ out in space and time
Silver Surfin’
No, Galactus
Won’t have time

To devour the planet Earth
That world is fading fast
Galactus craves all planets
Don’t know how long he’ll last

Got a life
Got no wife
My own home planet got destroyed
I will use my hands
Yes, I’ll use my hands
To shoot out asteroids

Silver Surfin’, hey
Surfin’ out in space and time
Silver Surfin’
Galactus is no boss of mine

Whoa
Whoa, ah
Whoa

Got no place
Out in space
Even Earth is not my home place
But, I will go save
Yes, I will go save
The whole human race

Silver Surfin’, hey
Surfin’ out in space and time
Silver Surfin’
With my body
And my mind

Silver Surfin’, ooh ooh
Silver Surfin’
When I get inside
Of the planet,
Gonna save it
From Galactus

Oh oh, ooh whoa
Oh oh oh whoa
Whoa oh ho, ho

Ooh baby
Yeah
Got the board on my feet
Out in space and time

I wonder if the Silver Surfer is going to confront Thanos in next year’s sequel to Avengers: Infinity Wars. Otherwise, we will wait a few years from now to see the Silver Surfer in the MCU. Anyways, please check out my other Marvel song parody I Hulk Out Again Over and Over

I’d give this one the silver medal. Nice job! Didn’t know much about this character except for seeing him in “Rise of the Silver Surfer” but you did well!

The 'net chatter I hear is that Ant Man and Captain Marvel will be prime factors to rescue the world in the next film. Didn't know much about SS, either. Amiright is educational as well as entertaining.

Thank you guys for the compliments. I am not going to spoil the after-credits ending of Avengers: Inifinity Wars, but I understand the news about the Ant Man and Captain Marvel. Who knows? I could rewrite more Madonna songs about Marvel and DC Superheroes.

Add me to the not-knowing-SS crowd, but that's an age thing in my case! I guess if he goes out saving the whole human race, he can't be a bad bloke! Especially as his home planet got blasted to smithereens, he is doing well not to have turned into Angry Avenger.
Scotty Dangerously - May 31, 2018 - Report this comment
@Penegrin Not everyone knows about the SS as much as the Avengers and the X-Men. The SS definitely does not have anger management issues like Bruce Banner and the Hulk. Thank you for your comment.

Leave Norrin Radd alone. Hes taking a nap on Zenn-La.

@Mr. Smartypants Haha! I guess that’s why he does not feel like starring in the sequel to Infinity Wars.

Well done, I remember the Silver Surfer from back in the day, and even have a few comics with him in it.

I know there was a Silver Surfer movie recently but that's my sum knowledge of the dude. Reading thru this I couldn't help but feel a bit sad when I discovered he had no wife. To insert that line amongst touting his heroic deeds suggests a superhero who's a little melancholy on the inside - nice write Scotty - 555

I don't know enough about SS to have an opinion - but with a name like that shouldn't he be in The Beach Boys Avengers and have an origin story from the 60s or something like that?
Scotty Dangerously - June 03, 2018 - Report this comment
@Peter I don't know what you're talking about, but not every Marvel fan is familiar with the Silver Surfer

Peter is just too lazy to Google: Fantastic Four #48 (1966).
