The Lyrics

Grrr?

My name is Bear, Yogi – and I live in Jellystone
I’m on your T V set as you watch from home

You’ve not gone insane, yes, I’m a talking bear
Of the campers’ treats, I wanna take my share
Ranger Smith is dour, I can feel his glower
But life as bear, you know I’d say’s not fair

I fear bear choice, is try to wrangle yummies
I have some ploys, (and most annoys), fill my tummy
Propose to try: to cadge I think’s my calling
Shout to camp guys “I’ll have some fries; seven helpings”

Boo-boo is my name, I’m like, a little bear
I’m eager to please, relationship’s unclear
Got some bare attire: only wear bow tie-er
And I’m a bear, of Ranger Smith, who’s scared

Try beguile, or snitch pic-a-nic basket
Free food’s the goal: ran-ger I rile while I'm filching
It's quite a scheme, ‘food fight’ and Yogi’s winning
So ‘bear’ with me, we’ll campers ream
Let’s acquire things...

When it’s Saturday, you get to see the bears
Find the cartoons please, I wanna see you there
In the morning hour, watch bears meals devour
Just like a bear, you know we’ll all be there

As for Yogi’s dame, her name is Cindy Bear
It’s clear she’s a ‘she’ ‘cus mini skirt she wears
No doubt she’s bear frauer, up ‘tween ears are flowers
Just like she bear, can tell she wears mascar’...

“Smarter than average-y”, holiday-ers plans be warned
These bears can fool you and bring your meals to harm

Just like a bear, omn’vores will seek to share
You’ll like these bruins to see, they’re so un-ursinery
Just like your treats – they’re out to steal your eats
Just like a bear, “Hey hey Boo Boo - grab picnic fare”

Just like a bear, we’ll take man’s share
We seek cuisinery
Just like a bear, campers beware
We’ll take viands oh please
Just like a bear, “That steak you’ll share?”
We’ll take ice cream with glee
Just like a bear, your table’s bare
We’re such a team you see

Just like a bear, our joy’s to freeload wares
It’s so amusing, see, cartoon buffoonery
Prefer your cheese, pass by those nuts, berr-ies
Just like a bear, avoid these boys; they’ll take your fare

Have no desire to voice “don’t play with fire”
So no confusing me, with that dude Ole Smokey
Moochers extreme we make that Ranger steam
Just like a bear, advice: vacationers beware

Av’rice when Yogi’s there
Like a bear...

Lots of Yogi love today! 2x the funny with you and John both bringing us some Boo-Boo buffoonery! I love it!

I bear witness to a well written piece of fun. Favorite lines:

Shout to camp guys “I’ll have some fries; seven helpings”

You’ll like these bruins to see, they’re so un-ursinery

You guys know how I like parody lines to mimic the original and these two lines could not have been done more "mimicky". You two really put some work into this in true M & P fashion. This parody has also accurately portrayed what that cartoon series was all about. Well done.

Merry, Ranger Smith had to always deal with a lot of em-bear-esness.

I could bear-ly get through this without laughing out loud! What a honey of a parody! Grab me a pic-a-nic basket that weighs 5.55 pounds! Hey hey hey!

Loving the ursine theme today. If they're "camp guys" M and P, I don't think Cindy Bear prancing around in a mini-skirt is gonna distract them - but weirder things have happened. I read it to the OS playing because it's lovely when the syllables match AND rhyme with the OS - great job you two - 555

Two picnic parodies about a bear that never made it big over here - clearly he's more popular than I thought. Does he really live in Jellystone?
