The Lyrics

Jergens' is a lotion brand name. My imagination is the commercial of AAA (American Automobile Association) where Kylie Minogue sang "The Loco-Motion" with Aretha Franklin. The car rams up through the parking lot curve.
Everybody's doing a brand new dance now
(Come on baby, use another lotion)
I know you'll get to like it if you give it a chance now
(Come on baby, use another lotion)
My little baby sister can wash them with me
It's easier than learning your ABC's
So come on, come on, use another lotion with me

You got to swing your hands now
Come on baby, jump up, hmmm wash back
Oh well I think you got the knack

Now that you can do it, go to the sink now
(Come on baby, use another lotion)
Jergens' Jergens' lotion in a bathroom sink now
(Come on baby, use another lotion)
Washing hands is easy now don't lose control
A little bit of rhythm and a lot of soul
So come on, come on use another lotion with me

Another lotion
Come on, come on, another lotion
Come on, come on, another lotion
Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on

Move around the sink, use another lotion
(Come on baby, use another lotion)
Do it holding hands if you got the lotion
(Come on baby, use another lotion)
There's never been a faucet's so easy to do
It even makes you clean and when you're feeling blue
So come on come on use another lotion with me

You got to swing your hands now
Come on baby, jump up, hmmm wash back
Oh well I think you got the knack

Use ano--Use ano--Use another--nother lotion
(Come on baby, use another lotion)
Use ano--Use ano--Use another--nother lotion
(Come on baby, use another lotion)
Washing hands is easy now don't lose control
A little bit of rhythm and a lot of soul
So come on, come on use another lotion
Come on, come on use another lotion
So come on, come on use another lotion with me

Another lotion
Come on, come on, another lotion
Come on, come on, another lotion
Come on, come on, another lotion
Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on

Kylie Minogue? What happened to Grand Funk? Or Little Eva? Now I really feel like an old geezer...

Eva Boyd was babysitting future singer Louise Goffin for her parents, songwriters Gerry Goffin and Carole King (since split), when the parents came home and saw Eva dancing while vacuuming, and wrote "The Loco-Motion" about the dance. "Little Eva" hit #1 with it in 1962, and had a few more hits, including "Keep Your Hands Off My Baby." Her backing group, the Cookies (me don't lie, me don't lie, me don't lie), had a few hits, including "Chains." Little Eva just died, at the age of 59. Grand Funk Railroad did the song in 1974, and it hit #1 in a very different but still fun version. They broke up a couple of years later, and lead singer Mark Farner alternates between Christian rock and GFR reunion tours. Kylie almost made it a threesome -- not that kind of threesome -- by taking it to #3 in 1988. A few songs have topped the U.S. charts in two different versions since the 1955 "beginning of the rock era" cutoff date, but none three times. But if Britney's sister or Beyonce's sister needs a kickoff single...
