The Lyrics

Well i'm still going to do something different again, so here we go.
Everybody's cheering on our baseball team now
(C'mon baby let's go Oakland)
My Fans had really like it
If you give it a cheer now
(C'mon baby let's go Oakland)
We Can Beat the Rangers and the LA Angels
And Maybe we can beat the S-F Giants
So come on, come on,
Let's Go Oakland A's and win

Garciaparra can hit now
Come on baby, Geren Manages
And, Dallas Braden takes the pitch

Now that you can do it
Your Opponents are batting
(C'mon baby let's go Oakland)
One, Two, Three strikes and your out
(C'mon baby let's go Oakland)
Beat the opponents like the Mariners
How About the Red Sox and the New York Yankees
So come on, come on,
Let's Go Oakland A's and win
We Gotta win this game now
Come on, come on,
Let's Go Oakland A's and win
Yeah

Anderson and Cahill throws fastballs and curveballs
(C'mon baby let's go Oakland)
Crosby and Giambi hits singles and doubles
(C'mon baby let's go Oakland)
Beat the opponents like the Detroit Tigers
The Orioles, The Rays, The Twins
And The Indians
So come on come on Let's Go Oakland A's and win

Everybody's cheering on our baseball team now
(C'mon baby let's go Oakland)
My Fans had really like it
If you give it a cheer now
(C'mon baby let's go Oakland)
We Can Beat the White Sox and The Blue Jays
And Maybe we can beat the L-A Dodgers
So come on, come on, Let's Go Oakland A's and win
We're going to win the Game

Come on, come on,
Let's Go Oakland A's and win
Yeah
Come on, come on,
Let's Go Oakland A's and win
We're going to win the Series

GREAT JOB, JAY!!! I was actually able to sing this one, and except for a few stretched syllables, it was great. 4-5-5.

Not bad... the concept is a good one. Internal rhythm and end rhyme details would help the flow. It also affords opportunity for wordplay, which contributes to the overall effect.

Pacing is better than some of your previous ones, but there were still some faults. I vote 3 in that category.

I LOVED THIS ONE!!! This is your best parody yet so far! Nice to switch to another sport for a change, right? You get 5's for this one! This time you deserve them, JJ!! :)

Much better than your others this week, pretty good overall but still a few syllables and a rhyme short I think.

Since this one is baseball I'll pass on this amusing story. Baseball great Mickey Mantle once asked singer/songwriter Paul Simon why he used Joe DiMaggio's name instead of Mickey's name in the song Mrs. Robinson. Paul Simon's answer was short and to the point: "Syllables, Mick, syllables."

I suppose "C'mon baby, let's go A's of Oakland" could've worked. Still I enjoy the concept.
