The Lyrics

MIDI(scroll down to epitaph3)(*perigraph=A careless or inaccurate delineation of anything)
The walls I thought held in by moats,
Was not that way it seems.
Was not the instruments of death,
Just sunshine on the schemes.
If there's a man who's free at heart
No nights can make him scream.
But no one gives the man a wreath,
Their silence crowns his dreams.

Illusion is their own perigraph*
As they crawl to get their own pride back.
If they get there they can use the wooden staff.
And from there they'll borrow wings for flying.
Yes, from there they'll borrow wings for flying.
Yes, from there they'll borrow wings for flying.

-Instrumental-

Unseen are desp'rate straits of waifs
The needs of time have grown.
They're watched much indeed by those
They know that they are known.
College is a waste to them.
They cannot set the rules.
The fate of all confined, I see.
Has been controlled by mules.

-Long instrumental-

The law used is a leash law quote,
They're straining at the leash.
Was not the instruments of death,
Just sunshine on their dreams.
His control span was a work of art
With repairs at night, seems.
All that's laid is the havoc wreaked,
And silence rules the dreams.

Illusion is their own perigraph*
As they crawl to get their own pride back.
If they get there they can use the wooden staff.
And from there they'll borrow wings for flying.
Yes, from there they'll borrow wings for flying.
Yes, from there they'll borrow wings for flying.

beautifully eerie

Heh heh, Pat, now I'm wondering if the DEA would arrest people for being in possession of your brain's neuro-transmitters! ;-)

Thanks alvin and Johnny! : D

If everyone were as smart as you, you'd have no paradies to write. I've been checking and a large percentage of your parodies are in reaction to someone else's being off in some way. I don't know maybe I'm off base as well, but it's something to think about. 5's anyway.

Thanks, Lionel. Checking out my stuff? ; ) Thanks for saying that . That is something to think about.

Oh, Lionel. I do think you were off-based in my parody. I've neglected to put a diclaimer at the top asking people to make their own interpretation of it. As for being smart, thanks, but I feel downright dumb next to most people here.

Thought provoking read, Pat...I'm DKTOS on this one, but it was very interesting to say the least...good thing you referenced "perigraph" - I was gonna remark that I thought you were better at spelling than mispell "paragraph"...well, send me an "amiWRONG" dunce cap...lol...

Lol, Paul...thanks. I hadn't thought of the possibility of people thinking I didn't know how to spell when I referenced 'perigraph'.

Deep stuff here, Pat. Great fit to TOS. I too am glad you gave a defintion for "perigraph"; left to my own devices (i.e., not looking it up) I would have thought it was a chart for periscopes, lol.
