"Crack Houses"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

there are crackheads..smokin' crack pipes
livin' in a crack neighborhood
they're in an altered state...layin' in their front yard
you know, they think that they've got it so good
cause when they're loaded...life is bitchin'
but when the drug's wearin' off
then they look at life, and say, while snarlin'
i can't remember...i wish that i could stop

but they love their chemicals...ripped as can be
they love their chemicals...they don't sleep or eat, baby
they love their chemicals...it makes their life sweet
little crack houses on every street

and there's a young man, wearin' no shirt
sufferin' from his hallucinations
he's got a vacant stare...a toothless smile
he says, lord, i crave this intoxication
i was normal...when i was younger
crack to me was heaven-sent
and just like everyone else, all my hopes and dreams
just kinda came and went

but they love their chemicals...ripped as can be
they love their chemicals...they don't sleep or eat, baby
they love their chemicals...it makes their life sweet
little crack houses on every street

it kills people...lots of people
why must they go go go
see the pain in their sad eyes
this vocation wastes their time and their dough...oh yeah
there's no winners...only losers
except for folks that deal
cause addicted souls, baby, pay for these thrills
big bills for a drug that kills

but they love their chemicals...ripped as can be
they love their chemicals...they don't sleep or eat, baby
they love their chemicals...it makes their life sweet
little crack houses on every street

but they love their chemicals...ripped as can be
they love their chemicals...they don't sleep or eat, baby
they love their chemicals...it makes their life sweet
little crack houses on every street

Sab, but true and brilliantly written!

I've got some JM stuff, but not familiar with this song. I gave you straight 5s, though, because this was so well-written and poignant. Great job, Alvin!

Very funny, and it has far more to say than the original did...

Alvin - Great job and spot-on perfect on both the pace and the sad truth about crack. I remember back when this whole town seemed to be loaded with crack-heads. I don't think it's as bad now but you see some of the unfortunate survivors mumbling around sometimes.
