The Lyrics

This was as sung by a former teacher of mine at Hickory High School during my senior year there during the 2002-2003 school year. I had a girlfriend that year who I hung out with many times and went on many dates with.
Well, I saw this couple
Just the other day
Necking in the hallway
In a real safe way

Like so many others
All over the school
Learning day to day
Some with IEP's

In this unforgiving world
There ain't no doubt
It will chew you up
And it will spit you out
She calls him barracuda
My barracuda

She used to attend Sharon schools
A real native daughter
He was a Portsmouth transplant
Attending Hickory High

He came with some instructions
Then he got criticized
Now he's got lots of friends
Who will tell them to stop
She calls him barracuda
My barracuda

She still can't figure out
What he's doin' at home
And she don't know
If he loves her or not

He may be a barracuda
But she's the only lover she's got
