Early in the morning, I’m still in bed
I’m dreaming about the wad I’ll earn today
I’ve got to go to work to make my bread
Got to keep my stash from slipping away
I’m doing my best to keep the green on my side
Because I don’t want to lose my house or my bride

And there’s no end that I can see

At the shop, I work all day with my mates
We have to keep all of the machines spinning
We can’t say that we’re tired of moving crates

Bosses and workers are just grist for the mill
