The Lyrics

Oh you kids today and that stuff you call music... ;-)
You will never know what it's like
To rock to Paul Revere and Three Dog Night
Back when the bands were young and the songs were new
We'd laugh along with "Junk Food Junkie" and "A Boy Named Sue"

And did you know that back in '68
The gas was classical and it was great
I bought a 45 of The Mighty Quinn
And everybody knew about the picture of those matchstick men

Don't you know I'm still jamming better than I ever did
Stuck inside a couple decades back when I was just a kid
And I'm still jamming after all this time
Thinking that The Beatles and The Rascals are still mighty fine

I'm still jamming, yeah yeah yeah
I'm still jamming, yeah yeah yeah

I remember it all first hand
The time before BeeGees were a disco band
The songs they made were 60's solid gold
Hey wait a minute, why you saying I'm getting really old?

I'm still jamming better than I ever did
Got a lot of record albums, do you know what those are, kids?
And I'm still jamming after all this time
Rocking out to Hall & Oates and Queen when they were in their prime

I'm still jamming, yeah yeah yeah
I'm still jamming, yeah yeah yeah

Don't you know that I'm still jamming better than I ever did
Putting on some Bachman-Turner, dancing like a little kid
And I'm still jamming after all this time
You can say the tunes are obsolete but they're forever mine

I'm still jamming, yeah yeah yeah...

Keep jamming to quality. Pity the millennials' musical illiteracy.

Modern music isn't all bad you just need to know where to look because it sure isn't on the radio

Ha, couldn't agree more....I mean, yeah, there's been a lot of good stuff since the 60's and 70's but those eras for me stand as the best ever. Although this looks like a fun song to parody. Anyway, very well done.
