The Lyrics

Now in this frame I am losing
And im missing all the colours
Got to win this big tournament
And my score is gettin' smaller, good God

Im gonna get myself a brand new snooker cue
And then i'll pot the black ball
Oh im gonna get myself a brand new snooker cue
And then i'll pot the black ball

Playin' so bad like a novice
Can't even play a good safety
Scorin' so low you will notice
Can't get out of this mess, good God

Im gonna get myself a brand new snooker cue
And then i'll pot the black ball
Oh im gonna get myself a brand new snooker cue
And then i'll pot the black ball

Foul Stroke,
Foul Stroke,
Foul Stroke,
Foul Stroke, oh no

Im gonna get myself a brand new snooker cue
And then i'll pot the black ball
Oh im gonna get myself a brand new snooker cue
And then i'll pot the black ball

What is to blame in this big match
Never can hit the yellow
Chalkin' my brand new snooker cue
And then I'll defeat my fellow,oh no

Im gonna get myself a brand new snooker cue
And then i'll pot the black ball
Oh im gonna get myself a brand new snooker cue
And then i'll pot the black ball

Foul And A Miss,
Foul And A Miss,
Foul And A Miss,
Foul And A Miss,

Im gonna get myself a brand new snooker cue
And then i'll pot the black ball
Oh im gonna get myself a brand new snooker cue
And then i'll pot the black ball

Foul And A Miss
Foul And A Miss
(repeat to fade)

Have to admit that the parody makes a lot more sense than the OS lyrics. I've done this OS once. It's tricky to get it down smoothly but I'd say that you did a good job of it. I'm cueing up fives for this one.

(ABC) A 554 from me in the technical aspects...chorus could have used some variation, and the rhyme scheme was a bit off in verse 2...still, a better Electric Avenue than I have thought up yet! :)

I agree with Aggy on some chorus variation would have been nice, but this was a pretty good idea to this song.

Good song idea, good execution. This song is so repetitive though, the discussion we had in PM--here's a great example of what I mean. . .still good job on Eddy's claim to fame.

A bit repetitive in the chorus, but a very good parody about a not-oft done subject. I'd love to hear this recorfded with an "English" accent. =)

(ABC) hmm repetitiveness is not good for the comps Jason, and not that funny either, but hey the main catchline was a nice sub - 555

(ABC) Cute stuff, amusing, enjoyable, but not really funny. Also, you missed spoofing the "to/Avenue" rhyme from the OS! And on the key lyric line! And you could've varied your choruses. 5-4-4.

"Snooker" is a funny word. I'm not sure why you didn't include "A" in your title.Still, you've racked up 555.

(ABC) A bunch of laughs and a few snookers. I mean snickers :)
