The Lyrics

This parody song is not funny and not meant to be, it's all about the war crime evidence movie decrypted and released to the world thanks to Wikileaks and made available at for one www.collateralmurder.com. It's a rather big deal over here in Europe right now but I don't know if American television has dared pick up on it at all. It starts off bad and then gets worse, if you can't handle seeing American soldiers shooting grenades into a car full of children and then laughing about it afterwards you better not look at it.

A YouTube version of the original song can currently be found here:

See them walking down the road up to the square at midday
Hardly caring at the copters flying by in the light
Reporters two to be soon attacked,
there's a camera carried on one's back, on his back
Then we hear the bullets frizzling to the targets,
as they're splitting their spines

Kills on film
Kills on film
Kills on film
Kills on film

Street 'comes bloody as all of the eight men are falling
In dust there's sharp film footage zooming in where they lie
A crawling man's shot again from air,
as the gunman wants to put bullets there, by cross-hair
And he's falling slow and never gets to ever,
ever come up again

Kills on film (more to come later)
Kills on film
Kills on film (look at the pictures)
Kills on film

Van-aid children are looking, then they're hailing bullets
Corpses slumping live, heat's taking out them and tyres
In one last 'sperse of windshield wipe,
copter's flying close with shooting might, on the site
Gives us shudders as these heroes taking pride,
they killed civilians ALL…

Kills on film (no wonder there's haters)
Kills on film
Kills on film (made into craters)
Kills on film
Kills on film (now gone forever)
Kills on film
Kills on film (by air slayers)
Kills on film

Excellent job, and I hate to admit to everyone here that I like the kind of stuff you wrote about here. I'll have to check out that video. 5s for pacing and overall, but a 3 for humor since this isn't really parody material IMHO.

Interesting, exactly what you said it would be. Well written and it gets it's desired effect.

Like you said, Not funny but has a deep and important meaning behind it.

Despite the fact that I'll never be able to listen to Duran Duran the same ever again, I thought this was a really amazing parody, despite not being funny.

Pacing right on target. Not funny, as you mentioned, but nice impact. Sadly, many in America are overly fascinated with gory presentations.

Um, I guess that your intro really sums it up best. This one is just disturbing like the topic it is about. I have never and will never likely see the inspiration videos for this, and I'm taking your word for it because quite frankly, I don't want to think about soldiers blowing up a car full of children or--well--anything remotely related.

(SOTM) I can't really add anything to what's already been said. Just...damn. I feel kinda depressed now. Um...yeah, I'm out.
