The Lyrics

Sweet red wine
When you sit down to dine
Feathers plucked, won't heal
You've erased my fam'ly ties
Soon my fate is sealed

Do you really want to eat me
Are you really gonna make me die
Selling turkeys
Please don't burn me
Do you want me baked or fried

In my beak
I feel a trembling
Choose a stuffing
from a jar
Purdue's farmers try to catch me
I can leap
but not too far

Do you really want to eat me
Are you really gonna make me die
Are you really gonna to cook me
Are you really gonna let me fry

Gobbled few
sounds aren't spoken
We get swallowed ev'ry year
Humans hollow
out our whole kin
Head will be cut off I fear

You've been planning for a turkey
As I grew
My seeds were sewn
Ham is preferred in most seasons
but not this time of year I know

If its meat that makes you pleased
You'll eat me someday
Get revenge on your belly
I'll go to your chin

Do you really want to eat me
Why on Earth must you go end my life
Do you really need to cook me
Turkey Gods please do not let me die

die die die die die die die die die die

Here they come, they're out to get me
Think they're really gonna make me die
See the light, Please do not hurt me
Ouch that hurt, my soul sees my head fly

Now you're really gonna cook me
Now you're really gonna eat me fried

Reminds me of my very own witch burning song. Just kidding but some of the lines did remind me of it like "Are you really gonna let me fry". This was a great Thanksgiving song though.

A bit behind the times seeing that Christmas is only a few days away now, but overall not a bad parody. Some parts were a bit hard to understand and needed to be re-read in order for me to get it. Like the line "my soul sees my head fly". Then I realized that there are turkey ghosts in your parody. You have some bizarre animals in your parodies, that's for sure.

When I read the title, turkey was the absolute last thing on my mind :) Good song

I can't put a finger on why, but this just didn't rock my world unlike some of your other animal-based parodies.

(Artistry) A little simplistic, but still pretty good. Of course, I'm the type of guy who when confronted with a turkey who had just sung this song would reply "Well, duh" and shoot him. I'm such a nice guy, aren't I? Anyway, 5's for you.

(Artistry) So I suppose that next Halloween there will be a BAD parody about the revenge of the turkey ghosts. :-) Fun write.
