Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

As sung by Donald Trump:

I'll tell you 'bout the good men, son
Who fought and beat the odds
Soldiers that had victories
Not some POW clod!
I like people who weren't captured
Medal earners not on their knees, but stood tall like Roman God's!

(Chorus)
McCain's not a Hero!
He was shot down, sub-par Flier in flight
A-4 Skyhawk
Missile too fast
Landed near Hanoi all right
McCain's not a Hero!
With Commanders he oft liked to fight
He got it all wrong
Careless and reckless- was doomed
Faced the NVA, and took a knife

Vietnam was a bad fight
Not a big fan you see
Victory was out of reach
In the end, we got nothing!
I had bone spurs in my feet
Minor detail as I missed the draft lottery!!!

My number was too high, you see...

(Chorus)

Senator McCain, well, he talks a lot
He helped VA? He-he! Pleeease!!!
His fellow Vets are suffering
But he does nothing... nothing!!!

You think a guy who endured pain,
Humiliation, blood
Would take better care
Of all his POW chums!

(Chorus)

back in 2008 McCain could've been the hero to save us from Obama if only there wasn't the whole "first black president and if you don't support him you're a racist scumbag!" thing going on 4's

Palin as RM didn't help either! Thanks Jon!

McCain would make a hell of a CIC!!! I voted for him. I liked Obama at the time for his carisma and upbeat look on life... but then hope turned to despair. The Middle Class is still not better off. Millions lost ft jobs they will never get back, so they work pt or limited pt creating a new class of working poor. Infrastructure still suffering too. Military reduced along with R&D. Yeah, SpecOps is OK, but US Army and Marines can't fight a major war anymore and equipment is outdated. USAF also being replaced by drone reliance which is still spotty at best. National debt keeps climbing despite cutbacks. We're at $18 Trillion and climbing. ISIS is still on the loose on a killing spree. Iranians threaten to wipe Israel off the map with nukes. N Korea is developing 3-stage missile to hit Alaska, Hawaii, and West Coast of US. China steals or hacks away at US corporations and our military. Illegal immigrants continue to swarm our southern border. What is Obama doing? Nothing but supporting flawed ACA, promoting Gay Agenda, making friends with Cuba, and releasing funds to Iran so that they can give weapons to Assad, Hezbollah, and the Palis.

It also didnt help, Jonathan, that one of the biggest financial crises in history, one that could be pinned on a Republican president, exploded on him six weeks out from the election. All of which makes finger pointing at either Palin or McCain for the loss to Obama pointless. No Republican could have won in 2008. If Reagan or Lincoln had suddenly and miraculously come back from the dead ... they wouldn't have won

^ indeed Lennie I hope you didn't misinterpret my post as blaming McCain for losing to Obama as I'd said once there was a "black" candidate (although he's actually mixed-race but that's another story) there was no way a white person was winning it became all about having the first "black" president and if you DIDN'T support him you were a racist heck I even heard a radio ad during the 2012 re-election season that said something along the lines of "if you don't vote Obama you might as well be burning another cross" or something like that I mean what the heck is that? trying to manipulate votes based on skin color? it's things like that that further my belief that he got in solely for being black rather than his ability to do the job

So sorry, Jonathan. That really wasn't directed at you, but at all the people commenting on the internet to the tune of "If Palin had gotten more support from McCain and the republican establishment" or "If McCain had chosen someone other than Palin." It was all irrelevant; just look at the electoral wipeout in the Congressional elections in 2008. Actually, McCain-Palin fared pretty well, given the circumstances.

Just saw a story on a far-right/libertarian web site about McCain and the USS Forrestal. Looked it up on Wikipedia, where there was a whole different explanation. Don't know which one you believe. Scary if true.

McCain was an improving pilot, not an outstanding pilot. His A-4 Skyhawk was downed by a missile and he crashed near Hanoi. Spent a long time as POW and as Officer refused early release. He was released in standard order of capture. Back then as today, McCain sometimes comes off as an outspoken hothead. He used to challenge his superiors all the time. I respect McCain and voted for him. The parody is of Trump's allegations.
