I got no kick against cats at all
See them everywhere at the mall
Some of them really grow to be kinda tall
I'm sure they know it's true.
I got no rap against the southern cats
Meow with accents and act like brats
But I still like them and I guess that's that

I got no quarrel with the cool cats
I meow with them and have me a chat
They live inside all day, and they get fat
They sure do love their food
I'm tired of looking at the big stray cats
I kind of see them when my tires go flat
I figure baby, they're good for eating gnats
That's all they probably do

I got nothing against the east cats
Who purr when you pet them but they hate hats
And your new kitty's like a welcome mat

I know I'm gonna miss the cats someday
I really don't wish they would go away
But one thing makes me not want them stay
