The Lyrics

Here's a little rundown of the first chapter of the film trilogy. Not my best work...but I'll throw it out there anyway...
It was birthday time down in Hobbiton
The regular crowd shuffled in
And the old man had to give a speech
Everyone stopped to listen to him

He said "Blah blah blah...well it's time to go"
I'm not really sure what he meant
But he left me his things, and a dark, evil ring
Wish I knew where that sick bastard went

Da da da de de da
da da de de da da da

"Save Middle Earth, you're the Ring Bearer"
"Save Middle Earth, that's right!"
Gandalf, I don't recall signing up for this
Thought I'd get drunk with Sam tonight

Now Merry and Pippin are friends of mine
They provide us with comic relief
I'm most grateful for Merry, who got us to the ferry
When Black Riders were giving us grief

Sam Says, "Frodo, what's up with that guy in black?"
Once we'd reached our location in Bree
Well, it turned out he was a kick ass Ranger
Who'd taken to protecting me

"Save Middle Earth, you're the Ring Bearer"
"Save Middle Earth, that's right!"
"That's no trinket you carry in your pocket,
You oughta be shaking with fright!"

So, I got myself stabbed while at Weathertop
Luckily a hot elf saved the day
Took me to her dad, Elrond, who passed the buck along
That coward just sent us away

Then we got ourselves lost down in Moria
Oh, and Gollum was keeping our pace
And Gandalf was teaching me life lessons
When we should've up and left that place

We left Gandalf falling with the Balrog
And Galadrial gave me a smile
'Cause she knows that it's me, who holds Earth's destiny
So she lent me some light in a vile

And Boromir's practicing Treachery
As the Uruk-hai lessen the gap
I take off on my own—set to do it alone
But Sam somehow winds up in my lap

Da da da de de da
da da de de da da da

"Save Middle Earth, you're the Ring Bearer"
"Save Middle Earth, that's right!"
I will do what I can to destroy The Ring
Though I'm starting to think It's alright...

Elfin girl, you been living in fantasy world, I bet you'll never get fives from this guy, Tolkein is so pretentious, and that's why, you'll never fly with me Elfin girl!

Johnny D...thanks--i'm actually working on some stuff as we speak... but since i'm a perfectionist, it won't go up until i'm totally satisfied with it. i did put up some non LOTR stuff, though...

Good pacing. You ride like the wind and you have such grace. Now, how long did it take before you learned to do that whole attacking river thing?

That was actually my first success with the water. After all of my failures while practicing on small streams and even rain gutters...it is a wonder that Frodo and I weren't drowned...

All 5s Arwen, I'm sure that somewhere on PLANET EARTH (as opposed to Middle Earth) you are a nice normal person. But... I'm beginning to worry about your obsession. But then...there's William Tong's obsession...so I guess we shouldn't worry TOO much about you just yet. Good job on this one Arwen.

Jude...thanks for the vote. As far as my obsession goes...it's really weird, because I'm actually this obsessed about everything. honestly. if i find something i like, i gorge myself on it...LOTR, Harry Potter, Homestarrunner.com, NCAA basketball...but for some reason...LOTR parodies are coming easier than anything else for me...so...I write them. And, by the way...I AM a nice, and normal, person. Everybody likes me in the real world. hehehe...thanks again!!
