The Lyrics

Happy Thanksgiving, Amirighters!
(instrumental opening)

Tuesday night, I'm watching TV.
Wednesday, watching Bush, who's creepy.
Thursday, game, my high school lost again.

I just wasn't having fun.
But the holiday has come.
And we've got a four-day weekend for a change!

We'll go over river, through the woods
to Grandma's house, she's got the goods
and I only hope we don't get snow or rain.

But that's where we gotta drive
and on feast we're gonna thrive.
And to give it up would really be insane!

Thanksgiving Night!
We're eating crazy!
Ho! But it just may be the drumstick that you're looking for!
We won't eat light!
Please pass the gravy!
It can't be wrong, so here we go, Thanksgiving Night!

Well...
Remember how I found you there
asleep in Grandpa's easy chair?
The tryptophan knocked you out with a smile.

You were hungry for the yams.
You were happy as a clam.
When you woke up, shared my stuffing for a while!

Now think, that now, you're in this family
living with our brood's insanity.
We might be as crazy as you say.

If I'm crazy, then it's true
that I'm still thankful for you
and you wouldn't want it any other way!

Thanksgiving Night!
We're eating crazy!
Ho! But it just may be the drumstick that you're looking for!
It's too late to fight!
So pass the taters!
It can't be wrong, so here we go, Thanksgiving Night!

(instrumental break)

Thanksgiving Night!
We're eating crazy!
Ho! But it just may be the drumstick that you're looking for!
We won't eat light!
Please pass the gravy!
It can't be wrong, so here we go, Thanksgiving Night!
It can't be wrong, so here we go, Thanksgiving Night!
It can't be wrong, so here we go, Thanksgiving Night!
It can't be wrong, so here we go, Thanksgiving Night!
(repeat 'til fade)
And now, only 32 shopping days until Christmas.

(All holding hands 'round the turkey day table)

Who wants to say Grace? - Me, me I do, I do. OK Billy say Grace - OK Grace. Billy, not funny!

Good taters
Good meat
We're all crazy
Let's just eat

Mike grabs both drumsticks, beats the table to the redition of the drum solo in Iron Butterfly's "inagaddadavida". Now sufficiently tenderized not to metion turkey grease on everyone in attendance he wolfs them both down. Thus the line in the parody about looking for drumsticks. This is the mental image I get from your parody describing Turkey Dinner at the Pacholec's. Happy Thanksgiving Michael.
