"Ode To The Port-A-John"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Written 16 MAY 2006. Over here in Iraq, the 'Port-A-John' is everywhere. You really have to get used to using them everyday. The smell tends to overwhelm you at time. I had wanted to write a tribute to the 'Port-A-John' for a while and came up with this. I hope you enjoy.
Breathing in the potion
Smelling someone else's shame
Try to hold your breath, but
Get the urge to puke the same

Trying to get done
Before your senses start to die
Try to pinch it off
So you can run outside and say
_____ _____ _____

It took my breath away
It took my breath away
_____ _____ _____

I told you to bring T-P
"Cause you know it's always out
But you didn't listen
Now you're stuck with empty rolls

You just keep on yelling
Hoping that someone will hear
Try to hurry up
So you can run outside and say
_____ _____ _____

That smell
Took my breath away
_____ _____ _____

The slurpie guy comes every morning
To clean and stock T-P
And if you hurry you can try to
Be the first today

It finds you anyway
That doesn't change
_____ _____ _____

It took my breath away
It took my breath away
_____ _____ _____

Watching the commotion
People in and out all day
Haunted by the notion
Soon the urge will come and stay

Trying hard to fight it
Maybe you can wait "till night
Your gut is in full motion
Now you just can't wait
_____ _____ _____

No Way
Took my breath away

Port-A-John
Took my breath away

That Smell
Took my breath away

Oh No
Took my breath away

Good parody; please check out my "Hey Jon" parody to "Hey Jude"; it got a dismal reception, hope yours does better---nothing like a portable crapper.
