Original Song Title:

Original Performer:

ZZ Top

Parody Song Title:

"Bush"

Parody Written by:

Alvin Rhodes

The Lyrics

he screwed up...he's not sound
take my word...he's a clown
i believe that he's touched
i said, i'll put my foot down
i ain't votin' for that bush

he's been bad...that ain't good
came from texas...head of wood
he ain't thinkin' too much
i said, you mark my words down
i ain't votin' for that bush

take him back...way back home
right off the shelf...off the throne
cause this task is too much
i said, george must be brought down
i ain't votin' for that bush

I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but I wrote a parody with the dame title/catch line a while back. I guess now that the parody search is no longer with us, this'll happen a bunch. No biggie though, just thought I'd take this oppertunity for a shameless plug, which I don't do often at all. I gave you 5's by the way. Yours flows better than mine does, you got the rhymes down pat with the original too, if I remember correctly. http://www.amiright.com/parody/70s/zztop3.shtml

Alvin, good job. 5's. Karlando - there is a search now, it just goes through "Google" - I used it to find something about a week ago and I was able to. In fact, I just tried it putting in "Tush" and it took me to a Google page with an item for this parody and right below it was yours.

I don't know the original very well (although I have heard it a few times), but I read it anyway and voted 5-5-5 because I can't stand Bush. I agree with every line, and it was very funny. Nice job.

Karlando's was pretty good... Alvin's is a little better.

Just to get it cleared out: I'm not complaining about it, Alvin. You're not gonna catch me on a life-consuming mission to have yours removed form the site just because we had the same ideas. :)

Gotta say, I'm with Alvin and Serafina on this; Bush makes me sick. Of course, I love anti-Bush parodies; I've even written a few myself. Anyway, I totally agree with the words in this parody, but I don't know the original. However, since most everyone thinks it meets the pacing well, I'll give it a 5-5-5.
