Song Parodies -> "Ash (from Eyjafjallajoekull)"

Original Song Title:

"Tush"

Original Performer:

ZZ Top

Parody Song Title:

"Ash (from Eyjafjallajoekull)"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

The original song used here doesn't offer much to work with, only fifteen lines, some of them repeated, and that's not much for an experienced old genre fart writer. So why did I use it? Well, how many other songs do you know that lend themselves to fit the name of an ash farting Icelandic Volcano? :-)

A YouTube version of the original song can currently be found here:

It goes up, it comes down
'Round the world, it's abound
Eyjafjallajoekull
Land of Norse taking planes down
They've been grounded by some ash

Illing tads, it's air crud
Dirt excretus, from the Gods
Eyjafjallajoekull
Wrath of Norse taking planes down
They've been grounded by its ash

(Guitar Solo Eruption)

Tiny plaque, from below
Now here's the name, volcanoooo…
Eyjafjallajoekull
Land of Norse taking planes down
They've been grounded by some ash

How appropriate, on the 30th anniversary of the famous eruption of Mt. Saint Helens.

The pictures that have been circulating around the internet of the volcanic ash are amazing. A fine OS choice and concept... 555
