Parody Song Title:

"Indictable Boy"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

He is going to prison, as all might have guessed.
“Indictable boy,” they all said.
He pleaded “not guilty”; jury not impressed
“Indictable boy,” they all said.
He was just an indictable boy.

He went to a lot where the used cars were parked.
“Indictable boy,” they all said.
Proceeded to steal a Studebaker Lark—
ignition he toyed with, then fled.
Gonna be an indictable boy.

He took it for a joy ride, under the moon;
the night was quite bright as he fled.
He would hear the sirens and see the blue lights soon.
He’s a frightened boy, full of dread.
Stick-him-under-the-glaring-lights boy.

Judge gave him ten years, and a cell became his home.
“You’re serving time, boy!” the judge said.
Now he is in a cage, and he can no longer roam.
He fights off big boys in his bed.
He’d become a desirable boy.
