Original Song Title:

"Werewolves of London"

Original Performer:

Warren Zevon

Parody Song Title:

"Romneys of Boston"

Parody Written by:

The Comedian

The Lyrics

(instrumental opening)

I saw a Romney with a USB cable in his hand
Plugging in some deep electrodes in his brain
He was looking for the place where memories get stored
Going to learn a big list of jokes 'bout Cain

So pruuuuude!
Romneys of Boston!
So pruuuuude!

So pruuuuude!
Romneys of Boston!
So pruuuuude!

You see him smiling around your TV screen
You better not watch him grin
Little old lady got smitten late last night
Romneys of Boston again

So pruuuuude!
Romneys of Boston!
So pruuuuude!

So pruuuuude!
Romneys of Boston!
So pruuuuude!
Huh!

(instrumental break)

He's the very handsome gent whose look-a-like's Clark Kent
Formerly the Governor in Boston
You better stay away from him
He's like a Slim-Jim, Jim
Huh! I'd like to meet his dentist

So pruuuuude!
Romneys of Boston!
So pruuuuude!

So pruuuuude!
Romneys of Boston!
So pruuuuude!

Well, I saw Rick Perry talking on TV
Helping the Romneys of Boston
I saw Rick Perry, clueless, talking on TV
Helping the Romneys of Boston

I saw Mitt Romney drinking a caffeine-free diet cola at Faneuil Hall
And his hair was perfect

So pruuuuude!
Romneys of Boston!
Huh! More mousse!

So pruuuuude!
Romneys of Boston!
So pruuuuude!

Thanks, simminglessons4, and you're correct, it's not - I'm just having a little random fun here!

"His hair was perfect," a tailor-made line for the Stepford politician.

Thanks, JB. Warren Zevon's hilarious and famous line "his hair was perfect" is the only reason I even thought about writing a "Werewolves of London" parody about Mitt Romney. Everything else was and is secondary, including whatever votes the parody may or may not get. I simply wanted to use that line for Mitt. I'm not kidding about that - that's exactly why I wrote this pile of ridiculous nonsense! :-)

A while ago I listed my "10 Guidelines for Writing Parodies" and one was "Never write an entire parody around one great line." (I learned that by trying to build a "Hotel California" parody around the word "wildebeest.") This wasn't, well, perfect, but barring a medical or ethical calamity, NittWitt Mitt will be the GOP nominee, so let's start slamming him while we can.

Thank you, Obi-Wan Pachobi. Back when I wrote and posted "The Ballad of Britney Spears", you posted a comment that included the following words: "Lemme guess: You wrote an entire parody around the words, "We fired our Canons... " " ... and you were right then, of course, as well. The Force is with you!
