Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Young Luke, get your face off the snow
I said, young Luke, in the Force you must grow
I said, young Luke, there's a place you must go
If you want to be a Jedi

Young Luke, go and see this old guy
He will teach you
To become a Jedi
On Dagobah, that is where you will find
How to discipline your mind

You gotta go and see Y-O-D-A
You gotta go and see Y-O-D-A

Wanna be a Jedi?
Do or don't, there's no try
And don't judge the guy by his size

You gotta go and see Y-O-D-A
You gotta go and see Y-O-D-A

Learn to levitate stuff
Sure, at first it'll be tough
But you'll get there eventually

Young Luke, are you listening to me?
I said, young Luke, what do you want to be?
(She's your sister, please stop thinking 'bout her)
And just go now to Dagobah

I was once a trainee as well
I said, young Luke, if you wanna rebel
Against Vader, then you gotta be strong
So get up and move along

You gotta go and see Y-O-D-A
You gotta go and see Y-O-D-A

Wanna be a Jedi?
Do or don't, there's no try
And don't judge the guy by his size

You gotta go and see Y-O-D-A
You gotta go and see Y-O-D-A

All the things you have learned
You had better unlearn
Free your mind and become one with the Force

Young Luke, you've still got far to go
I said, young Luke, there's so much you don't know
Being Jedi is more than a light sword
You still need to train your mind

Young Luke, I was once in your place
But he trained me into one fighting ace
Sure, I'm dead now, but ya should seen the time
When I was right in my prime

You gotta go and see Y-O-D-A
You gotta go and see Y-O-D-A

Wanna be a Jedi?
Do or don't, there's no try
And don't judge the guy by his size

You gotta go and see Y-O-D-A
You gotta go and see Y-O-D-A

Young Luke, young Luke, embrace your destiny
Young Luke, young Luke, are you listening to me?

Y-O-D-A
you gotta go and see Y-O-D-A

Young Luke, young Luke, are you listening to me?
Young Luke, young Luke, what do you wanna be?

Y-O-D-A
you gotta go and see Y-O-D-A

Young Luke, young Luke, get your face out the snow
Young Luke, young Luke, there's a place you must go...

As Michael P said, it may have been done before, but an enjoyable parody you wrote. I actually danced with your parody! May the force be with you!! Here's 555 light sabers! Cool name also, Anakin McFly!! :)

I can see them moving their arms to Y O D A in a dance. Good parody and I too like the pen name.

Great idea for a parody of this classic song. Just a little advice for the line - "Do or don't, there's no try" I suggest re-writing it to say - "Why don't you give it a try" Your line makes little grammatical sense. Still, great parody, it is.
