| Parody Song Title: | "Ode to the Blazes" |
| Parody Written by: | Bob Beard |
This is the parody I wrote for an extended project I'm working on where I'm designing an island nation who's society revolves around fire.
If your house is set on fire,
You have Paco's clan to blame,
For we stare in pure amusement,
As the world goes up in flames.
Paper, wood, the neighborhood,
To us it's all the same!
Our fires are burning on!
Glory, glory, empty barns and,
Several different forms of arson.
A lighter may be nifty,
But a blowtorch equals fifty,
And with kerosene makes ninety-five.
We all call him Paco,
There is power in his name,
And we all obey the culture,
We are slaves of his domain.
Once we played with matches,
Now we'll never look the same!
Our fires are burning on!
Glory, glory, empty barns and,
Several different forms of arson.
A lighter may be nifty,
But a blowtorch equals fifty,
And with kerosene makes ninety-five.
We dance around the blazes,
In a mortifying scene,
With smiles on our faces,
And a can of gasoline.
We sing these stupid phrases,
When we don't know what they mean.
Our fire are burning on!
Glory, glory, empty barns and,
Several different forms of arson.
A lighter may be nifty,
But a blowtorch equals fifty,
And with kerosene makes ninety-five.
We always carry weapons,
But we'll never shoot to kill,
But we'll set your car on fire,
And we'll roll it down a hill.
We march across the landscape,
With this disconcerting skill!
Our fires are burning on.
Glory, glory, empty barns and,
Several different forms of arson.
A lighter may be nifty,
But a blowtorch equals fifty,
And with kerosene makes ninety-five.
