Sorry Amethytst, but you CANNOT squeeze a six-letter word onto the FOUR-LETTER title of this song and get away with it. That's the pacing problem. Your song does work as a jingle for the Sanrio store rather nicely, but really didn't entertain me at all. I could picture a perfectly funny rewrite of ABBA's "Fernando" or Duran Duran's "Rio" with this topic--how about trying those? Hope you can read this as positive criticism.:)

Gotta agree with agrimorfee here, sorry.

I totally agree with Agrimorfee and Laurence. It's impossible to sing it like that.

Yeesh... Well, actually, you're supposed to sing the "S-A-N" part faster than the "R-I-O" part. The "S-A-N" part replaces the "Y," so you have to sing "S-A-N" faster. But I assure you, it CAN be sung in a way that does fit nicely and smoothly. It's fast, but smooth..."S-A-N"! And then you sing the "R-I-O" part in the exact same speed you sing "M-C-A." So just try this a few times...and then you'll see that it really can fit smoothly. I was never concerned about the 4-syllable thing that "Y.M.C.A." is in...what I wanted to do was to take 6-syllables (S-A-N-R-I-O), and make that FLOW nicely into a 4-syllable spot. And if you follow my instructions that I just explained previously, you'll see that the flow and smoothness works after all! So please, try it! Thank you!
