The Lyrics
This was inspired by my dog's incredible distaste for obedience class. I wrote the song from the point of view of the dog. Had fun writing this one.
And my human said "Obedience schoolhey Rex, I think we'll apply!"
So I took a bite out of the living room couch in order to ask him why
He said "You need leash manners and training Rex, and this is what we'll do."
So I growled at the cat and said "Imagine that! Let me outside, I need to poo"
Sit, sit, every day sit
All of this just for a lousy biscuit
Chew this, don't chew that
Can't you please just sit?
And my human said I had to stay inside the backyard the whole night
So I jumped on the fence and yelled at the house, "Hey! What gives you the right?"
"To put up a fence to keep me in and keep Mother Nature out!"
"I think I'll dig up your garden now, maybe then you'll get what it's about!"
Sit, sit, every day sit
All of this just for a lousy biscuit
Chew this, don't chew that, can't you please just sit?
Now I'm a dog, this ain't so sweet
Why must I listen to you and have a seat?
I don't want to wait before I eat
Can't I just have some scraps, please?
And my human said you got to get along with the cat to live inside
And my human said "If you behave, I'll let you out to play."
But when I saw a squirrel at the end of the street
I had to chase him away
So the squirrel, before he made his escape, he nipped at my behind
I said, "Okay Mr. Human, I need you after all, if you pet me I'll be fine."

Cute...it took me a few moments to remember how the various parts of the OS went, but once I did the pacing and emphasis seemed just fine. Good job, 5's ~ ~ ~
