In the Governor's Mansion sits a desperate man
Worried he'll fall victim to a right wing recall plan
Though he was re-elected, just a few months before
The economy was suffering, his approval poor
Not content on the sidelines, the GOP struck fast
They saw a chance to steal his seat if the recall measure passed
Once the power grab got rolling, nothing stood in its way
It's a black eye for democracy, what else can I say?

It started out like a circus, one thirty five in the ring
There were porn stars, sumo wrestlers, and the melon-bashing king
At center stage on the ballot, we find a Hollywood name
An actor who's violent roles brought him lots of wealth and fame
He's got name recognition, and a Kennedy wife
He's never held an elected job one single day of his life
His policies are sketchy, and keep changing by the day
But he's a darling with the TV news, and this is what they say

The news is full of victims' accounts that he hopes we'll soon forget
And in his debate appearance, it's clear he knew the least
Opponents slammed his fitness for the job but they just couldn't slow the beast
