The Lyrics

As you reach a certain age and you have multitude of older siblings, this event was bound to happen. One of older brothers lost the love of his life after 40 years of marriage. The song "Take it Easy" springs to mind because Patty was literally "standing on a corner in Phoenix, Arizona" waiting for a bus to take her to ASU when he first met her
Well, Im a driving down the road
With a heavy class load
Got a world of midterms on my brain
Four that I could phone in
Two I aint bemoanin'
One could sink my GPA
Take it easy, take it easy
Dont let the thought of some new love
Drive you crazy
Lighten up while you still can
Aint got time for a new girlfriend
Maybe wait till semester ends
And take it easy

Well, she was standing on a corner
In Phoenix, Arizona
Such a fine sight to see
It's girl, forlorn from the Land of Corn*
Standing there not really minding me
C'mon Baby .. dont say maybe
I got to know if your sweet love
Is gonna change me
We may split, or we may keep
May lift ourselves to the top of the heap
So climb on in an call me Rick
And take it easy

(And now comes the end of this road 45 years later. There's a very touching moment being described here .. but that's all I will say)

Well, Im bearing a heavy load
At the end of this road
Got a world of heartbreak on my mind
Looking for some brothers
Who'll help me recover
They're right by my side
Take it easy, take it easy
Dont let the thought that you're alone
Drive you crazy
C'mon Big Bros, keep me composed
I gotta know if my six sibs
Will share my Sorrows

Doo da do, doo da do ..
You gotta take it easy, Bro ..

The third stanza speaks of six siblings who were present at the burial. There was a seventh who may or may not have (but almost certainly did) pen this parody who was absent. He sends along his condolences as well
