I took my wife on a trip to Boston. There's a knock on the hotel room door. Who is it? "The Boston Strangler!" It's for you, dear! I went back to Boston the next year. There's a knock on the hotel room door. Who is it? "The Boston Strangler!" I gave last year!
I was 5 or 6 years old and living in Concord (around 20 miles W of Boston) when the Strangler was wringing necks. I have a vague recollection of looking at a diagram in a newspaper back then that gave a sort of schematic explanation of the scenes of the crimes, or something like that... *shudder*...that was a creepy time. Good write, Alvin.
