The Lyrics

This is kind of a sequel to my other Bart phone-call parody "Has Anybody Seen Mike Rotch?" (click the link at the bottom to have a look). I've cheated slightly, in that I've used some names that were left as comments to that parody (that is after I'd used up all the real Bartisms I hadn't managed to fit in to "Has anybody seen...").
Somebody's gonna call Moe's bar
Before the night is through
Somebody with a stupid name
To make Moe look a fool
"Anybody seen Lucy Lastic?"
"Isabelle Ringing?"
"Can you see a Stu Pididiot?"
"What about Wayne King?"

There's gonna be a Bart fake tonight,
A Bart fake tonight, at Moe's
There's gonna be a Bart fake tonight,
A Bart fake tonight, at Moe's
How it goes:

"Do I have a Bea O'Problem?"
"Maya Buttreeks, Anita Bath?"
"Is there a Homer Sexual in the bar?"
Well, it makes 'em laugh

These calls are gonna last forever.
Last all, last all series long
You know Moe will pick up that 'phone
Then he'll shout and it'll all go wrong
There's gonna be a Bart fake tonight,
A Bart fake tonight, at Moe's
There's gonna be a Bart fake tonight,
A Bart fake tonight, at Moe's
Lord, at Moe's

There's gonna be a Bart fake tonight
And Moe's talking shite
He isn't that bright
He can't get it right
There's gonna be a Bart fake tonight,
A Bart fake tonight
At Moe's

Somebody's gonna call Moe's bar (some Barty)
Before the night is through
Yep, Moe comes close.. but no cigar
And they'll all laugh at you
(Little Barty) Lil' Barty wants t' talk to somebody
And you know he might
Lil' Barty don't give Moe a little chance
To make it come out right

There's gonna be a Bart fake tonight,
A Bart fake tonight, at Moe's
There's gonna be a Bart fake tonight,
A Bart fake tonight, at Moe's
Yes, at Moes:

"Where's a Harry Paratestes?
Hugh G Rection in the room?
Have you seen a Betty Humpter?
Eura Snotball???"
There's gonna be a Bart fake tonight,
A Bart fake tonight, at Moe's
Oh, I know

There'll be a Bart fake tonight
A Bart fake tonight at Moe's

We used to call the Baldwin Theatre and have "Mike Hunt" and "Dick Hertz" paged on Friday nights. Good stuff. 5's.

I enjoyed this one! Considering how many times Bart has "punked" him, ol' Moe should change his last name to "Ronic." Paul: I know a Mike Hunt, but he insists on being called "Michael" for some reason...

I did one at work on April fools day once. I left a note for a coworker that said he was called by Myra Maines and put the number for a local mortuary on the note. He called, asked for the party and then got the dumbest look on his face, and hung the phone up. I said, what? He said I called this lady back and some guy said they buried them this morning. \O/ He figured it out about two hours later.

How far we've come from the days when Bart could've called up and said, "Do you have Bud in a bottle? Well, let him out!"

Mari D - more trivia re: "Mike Hunt". That was the character Lloyd Bridges played on the ancient TV show "Sea Hunt" - he was a Professional Deep-Sea Diver and I think he performed deeds of derring-do & rescue during the 1/2 hour weekly series. It was probably very good preparation for his later role as the air traffic controller in the movie "Airplane"...

Terrific, Phil. You know your Simpsons! High 5's

Thanks, all - Mari: I wish I'd thought of that, I'd have included it somehow
Guy - "Myra Maines"? :-)
Melhi - not sure I can do any sequels to this without repeating myself

Dee - not really... I cheat ;-)
...and if you enjoyed this, please follow the link to "Has anybody seen Mike Rotch". Thank you.

I'm just stumbling across this one! By the way, "Maya Buttreeks" and "Anita Bath" were not at Moe's; they were from the episode where the teachers went on strike, and Moe was one of the replacement teachers. He called out those names on the list, and everyone cracked up. Moe felt insulted by this, so he ran out of the classroom crying as Bart crossed his name off the list of substitute teachers.
