The Lyrics

As far as I can tell, this is the first parody on the site about the TV show "Castle." Note that, in the second verse, I refer to Castle's various whacked-out theories -- which, over 6 seasons, have included the CIA, the Mob, the Freemasons, aliens, ghosts, vampires, zombies, Bigfoot, and (so far) two time-traveling killers -- so the word "queer" is intended to mean "strange," not "gay."
(long instrumental opening)

Writer and the cop.
Writer and the cop.
In 12th Precinct, New York
they're warrior and dork.
She's detective on the case.
His mind is off in space.
Writer and the cop.

There's a killer on the loose.
The victim's face has made the news.
We could catch him today.
But Castle's mind at play.
If you give this man your ear
his theory will be queer.
Killer on the loose.
Yeah...

Kate, you gotta trust this man.
Kate, you gotta trust this man.
He gets out of hand
but makes you understand.
The case, on you, depends
so in vain life didn't end.
Gotta trust this man.
Yeah...

(long instrumental break)

Writer and the cop.
Writer and the cop.
They clues they cause to pop
never gonna stop.
On duty at the 12th
they put killers on the shelf.
Writer and the cop.

Writer and the cop...
Writer and the cop...
Writer and the cop...
Writer and the cop...

(instrumental close)

hmm... I wonder what's wrong with this one for all the 1 votes? I'm not even a regular "Castle" watcher (I have seen bits and pieces here and there) but honestly I enjoyed this 5's

The trolls are active these days. It's close to Halloween. I don't know Castle but I know the OS and your parody fits the pacing well.

Good to see your posts, 2Eagle. The wife and I are avid Castle watchers, and I know she'd appreciate this as much as I. I'm starting slowly on the new season (been pretty busy), and it looks like it could be a pretty wild ride if the overshadowing of the first episode is any clue.
Nice work here. I really appreciate short to the point parodies like this one. An economy of words well placed.

Crosseyed I am! Michael, my apologies. I saw 2Eagle's name and I made him the author of your parody! But still giving credit where credit is due. Nice work, Michael "I'm Not 2Eagle" Pacholek.
