So...at the risk of pissing you off, I feel I have to speak out on this one. I guess you were going for being like Barbara "Mrs. Cleaver" Barrie in Airplane (:)). I see the point, but seems like too many of the original words to me. You know I like your silly stuff, but this is just a bit racist and the word "rape" in any context nowadays just isn't funny. I won't score. Hope you don't take it personally, just a writer to another writer hoping to be helpful.

Thanks, but 1) it was Barbara Billingsley from "Leave It to Beaver" and 2) rapin' is just short for rapping. This is the jive version, not just removing the last letter. Hope this clears things up. It's relevant to the whole OS title "Jive Talkin'."

It's all good, Bro'! Rapin' came out in the 1960s to describe talking. But it then evolved into Ebonic rappin' in the 1980s which describes a method of talk singing as in Rap music! Look at similar 'cos (short for 'cause) vs latter cuz or even Cuz (Cousin). I grew up with both. So, jus' hang loose,blood! I gon' catch you up on da et,' side!!!
