"Prez' Crusade"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I guess I didn't take the State of the Union speech too well
Obama, I’m in tears for the strife from the strongarm that I saw,
Union speech just defends, not so stunning, and I’ll know you’ll not atone,
Obama, you appear so defiant, so prepared to brawl and moan,
Health plan is comin’ round, not so hallowed, and my funds went very wrong.

The gig is up, the views you tout, will totally pound me,
Your Prez’ crusade, a rerun played, I grieve, my accounts reek,
You implore and try to sway,
This will be the end , I say, of the av’rage man.

Obama, saved for years, what a sham,
And had a nice life planned ahead,
Loan man said give him cash to survive
And he’s for sure left me in dread,
Obama, I’m in fear as you’re trying,
You declared no plan’s postponed,
Cap – trade is coming, taxes will follow
And I won’t have cash for long.

The big tin cup, I cruise and scout
The best spot around me,
The Prez’ crusade, left me to fade
On streets in the county,
Ever more to plea and pray,
‘Til nudged by police at play,
I’m the av’rage man.

Guitar solo

Obama, I appear in such strife and your strongarm has a flaw,
Good jobs are coming, words are so shallow, ‘cause I’ve heard the tired old song,

You dig closeup, fans schmooze and shout,
The clapping will hound me,
The Prez’ crusade is left unpaid,
There’s no good accounting,
Only left for us to pay,
This’ll be the end, I say,
Of the av’rage man,
The av’rage man

And you think that you know,
Oh no,
Won’t let ‘em fake me,
No, no.

It's to make all of us equal (that is, all broke on the government dole!). Sharing my last 5-5-5 with you. ;D

I feel you, 1K! I've mentioned numerous times I was hesitant about that State Of The Union speech Obama gave that night! Hope Obama means what he says, because it's been a year now and we're still in financial hell! Here's 555 parody writer bailouts for this one!

I can't believe how well you nailed the pacing. The lyrics have--for lack of a better term--a good "flow" to them. And the contrasting of the original lyrics was nicely done, too. 555

Thanks AFW, Blackjack, Jonathan and John. AFW, I still have hope but Congress is making it fade.
