I chose to parody this OS (the title track to Styx's '77 album The Grand Illusion) because Disney Channel is entirely, as the OS' title suggests, a grand illusion. The acting in the High School Musical trilogy, for example, is largely unrealistic. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the parody.
Welcome to the Disney Channel;
Come on in and take a gamble
With the bill that you paid for satellite.
The lights are up; the teens are singing,
Leaving men just like me cringing
‘Cos these kids can never get it right.
So boycott Radio Disney now;
Leave Miley Cyrus in the dust.
Please let her movie choke and HSM as well;
May that Selena Gomez burn in hell!

So if you think these shows are too much to handle
‘Cos your personal life sucks,
Just remember, it’s just the Disney Channel,
So may Walt Disney see bad luck, see bad luck.

When i think of a high school musical I think of the times Burbank High School put on Broadway hits like The Music Man and they were darned good. Can Disney top that?
