| Parody Song Title: | "2009 Budweiser Shootout (Recap Song)" |
| Parody Written by: | Jay Jianoran |
Now The Season Starts, With Twenty-Eight Fast Cars
Cause The First Shootout is under new eligibility rules
Paul Menard led the field to the Green Flag
But Dale Earnhardt Jr. took the lead
But a 4 Car Wreck led to a first caution.
On Lap Twenty-Two, Jamie McMurray played cat and mouse
Hamlin almost slid it to the wall
And the first segment has been concluded
when Reutimann and Stremme went spun
But somehow with 50 laps to go
Greg Biffle tags Jeff Burton for the yellow
But With 3 Laps to Go and McMurray is in the lead
But Jeff Gordon is right behind
But Biffle collected David Stremme
led to a Green White Checkered
Green White Checker, Green White Checker
Green White Checker Flag
And The Green White Checker Begins as Jamie McMurray leads
Kevin Harvick gets Denny Hamlin but that did not happen
But Jimmie Johnson hit the wall with Casey Mears
And Kevin Harvick won it
McMurray is second, Stewart is 3rd
and Jeff Gordon is 4th

Another February, another season of NASCAR rants underway. I just don't see how you get what you wrote out of "Come Sail Away".
I actually praised this author some time ago for writing a parody that was somewhat well paced, wasn't his usual dire 'Recap' stuff and was quite entertaining to read. Obviously he hasn't read my comment. No vote on this.
What Jason said. Jay Jianoran started out writing good stuff, went into writing Nascar-themed parodies that were not funny or well-paced, wrote a couple of good gameshow-themed works, one of which was inspired by a comment of mine, then he regressed to Nascar "parodies" again. 1s.
"Not well-paced", Try NOT PACED AT ALL!
